ABOUT ME
I’m Alice, a recent Graphic Design graduate from Falmouth University, specialising in photography and film production. I am currently based in Winchester, Hampshire.
My latest projects include graphic props for filmmaking, documentary photography, book design & writing, and community-focused branding. I take an analogue approach to design through the use of collage and printmaking techniques, as well as using practical effects to make my work feel tactile and interactive. My current focus is encouraging hand-making in design projects where possible, in an attempt to return to my roots as an artist and craftsperson.
As an enthusiastic photographer, many of my projects begin with a camera, and I often approach a brief through the lense of analogue or digital filmmaking. I am interested in how writing goes hand in hand with design, often turning to words and literature for inspiration resulting in many language-based outcomes. Likewise, I find it easiest to express ideas through the written word, using this to elevate visual outcomes. My work is always driven by the goal to create positive change, be it for an individual or community.
When I’m not working, I can usually be found tap dancing, looking for cats, baking, or in the sea.
